The Former Deputy Coordinator of National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) Joseph Yamin has indicated that he does not listen to preaching of some pastors including the head pastor of International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Pastor Mensah Otabil, the former Presbyterian Moderator Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Martey due to their biases against the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) party.

According to him, these renowned men of God including the General Overseer of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, Rev. Owusu Bempeh’s preaching are always tilted in favour of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mr Yamin claimed their preaching are not nationalistic as expected of them adding that he will gladly walk out of the church auditorium if Rev. Martey stands in front of the pulpit.

‘They should tell Ghanaians that they made wrong submissions. They made us believed that prayers couldn’t solve any problem. I will not visit Rev Owusu Bempeh’s church, neither will I go to Pastor Otabil’s church or listen to his preaching. I have never listened to him before, I always hear his preaching from third parties. I am a Presbyterian but I don’t listen to Rev. Emmanuel Martey’s preaching. I will walk out if he stands in front of the pulpit to preach, because his preaching will be based on NPP and not nationalism, they have taken on political attire,’ he claimed.

He alleged that these pastors purposed their minds to paint the NDC black and make the former President John Dramani Mahama unpopular during the electioneering.

Speaking with Kwame Adinkra on Abusua FM’s Abusua Nkommo, he described them as political pastors who have deviated from the preaching of the Bible.

He blasted Rev Owusu Bempah for saying that some pastors including him prayed to God to make Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo climb the Presidency.

But Mr Yamin wondered why Pastor Otabil on the other hand said prayer couldn’t solve Ghana’s woes lashing out at them for hiding behind social commentators.

‘The respected man of God Pastor Mensa Otabil said prayers couldn’t solve Ghana’s problems, and Rev. Owusu Bimpeh is now saying that they prayed for Nana Addo to win power, why couldn’t that same God help change the fortunes of the country during Mahama’s administration?. Its sheer hatred for John Mahama. Owusu Bimpeh had confirmed today that he and the other pastors don’t like John Mahama,’ he pointed out.

He said their preaching put him off accusing them of being the cause of recent happenings in the country.

‘Their unhealthy prayers during the 2016 elections to change government are the cause of deaths, suicide, accident, burnt markets and other occurrences in the country, I am telling you, Ghana is cursed, they should tell us where the curse is coming from, they are part of the curse, just to see one person in power, some people buried human beings,’ he alleged.
