Outspoken radio and TV presenter, Afia Schwarzenegger born Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa has advised ladies to dump unproductive marriages and relationships which will lead them nowhere.
She observed that ladies should not continue to endure abusive marriages where they have been subjected to all forms of physical abuses by their husbands warning that they can end up with some form of deformities or even death.
“Why will you continue to endure a marriage when the man continuously turns you into a punching bag……How will such men feel if their sisters are treated the same way. The man can beat and kill you so I think it is better for you to quit and take your time to go through an emotional healing before venturing into another relationship. Don’t think because of what other people will say, you keep staying in an abusive marriage”, she stated on Kumasi-based Abusua Fm.
According to her, it is also wrong for women to be verbally abusing their husbands indicating that it smacks of gross disrespect urging both parties to live in harmony in the interest of their future.4
“It is true some women do not respect their husbands. If you visit some homes and see the way the women insult their husbands you will be shocked. We also have men abusing their wives emotionally, physically and financially which is all not good”
