Black Stars Coach Avram Grant has received an massive boost ahead of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations with the return of midfielder Mubarak Wakaso to training at Celtic on Tuesday afternoon after recovering from a deep facial cut, DailySoccerGhana.com can confirm.
“Finally back to field, back to training and ready for Thursday fight. Thanks to GOD and to you all for your love and care you showed me 1love,” Wakaso posted on his official Facebook page.
The ex-Villareal and Espanyol winger sustained the facial cut while playing for the Celtic team B two weeks ago.
Doctors assured the 24-year-old on December 23rd that he would be back in training after 7 days.
Coach Avram Grant will be hoping injured trio Majeed Waris, Christian Atsu and Kwesi Appiah are fit for the pre-tournament camping as he will be seeking to assess the full 31-man squad to select the best 23 for the Equatorial Guinea 2015.
