Hearts of Oak Reply Harry Zakour- Togbe Is Not One-Man-Show

Hearts of Oak SCs have issued a strong statement denying claims made by former Phobian Chief Executive Officer Harry Zakkour in a Ghanaian Times publication of Monday 14th July 2014 that the club’s Board Chairman Togbe Afede XIV is running a one-man show.

The statement read;

“We have noted Harry Zakkour’s claim that there is a one-man show situation in the administration of Hearts of Oak and his call for what he terms an all-inclusive administration that involves certain past Board members,” Hearts of Oak noted in their statement.

“We wonder what constitutes the right administrative measures Zakkour wants to be established when the club already has a functional and effective Board and Administrative set up in place.

After reviewing the story headlined Harry Zakkour vows to fight Togbe Afede XIV, Hearts of Oak states that it will not engage the former Great Olympics CEO in a media war.

“We are reluctant to engage Harry Zakkour in the media given his status as a senior member of the Hearts family with whom we can share views and experiences together with mutual respect.”

Harry Zakkour is demanding that Togbui Afede XIV pays back monies owed to him, Nii Ayibonte, Ernest Thompson and TT Brothers so the quartet can reinvest the cash into the club and have a say.

Zakkour has also been quoted in several media interviews seeking the removal of Togbe Afede XIV as Board Chairman of Hearts of Oak, stating that the traditional ruler is destroying the club.
