Asante Kotoko midfielder Richard Mpong yesterday lost several items after the 24-year-old was robbed at his residence in Kumasi.
Mpong who had been away for some time received the bad news upon his arrival at his residence when he was told robbers had broke into his apartment to pick up items worth thousands of cedis.
“I was away for some time; I went to check up some few things only to come back and realize I have been robbed. They took away my woofer, my lap top and my bag which contained of my cloths,” Mpong told Accra-based Happy FM.
The midfielder who is normally referred to as “Pedro” due to his swift nature of play and the speed he executes on the flanks says he has reported the matter to the police as well as the management of Asante Kotoko.
“I have reported it to the police. And I have also informed the management team of Kotoko”, he noted.
