Two Lesbians Arrested In Anambra Beer Parlour May Face 14 Years Imprisonment

Two young ladies were arrested last Monday, June 2, by the plainclothes police detectives attached with Ogidi Police Division for allegedly practicing lesbianism in a beer parlour in Amanbra State.

According to the police, the suspects, Chioma from Umudioka in Dunukofia council area and Amaka, were caught while indulging in the unholy act in a beer parlour belonging to one of them at No 5 Isingwu Street, off Central School road, Nkpor Agu, Idemili North Local Government Area, Amanbra.

The ladies were accused to have gone contrarily against the bill that prohibits homosexuality and lesbianism in all parts of the country.

However, one of the suspects confessed to the crime but stated that her act as the handiwork of the devil. “Please, one of my sisters is staying in her shop at Ochange Market and I donā€™t have her phone number off head. Please help me beg the police for I will never live in such dirty life again,” she pleaded.

It was gathered that the members of homosexuality and lesbianism family in the state are now mobilising funds for legal luminaries to make sure that their members in police incarceration did not appear in court. Reportedly, they even tried to offer money to the police but the no-nonsense Divisional Police Officer, SP Isah Mohammed, has turned down their offer.

Divisional Police Officer, Mr. Isah Mohammed, who confirmed the arrest stated that this matter must go to court. The DPO went further to urge any interested persons to go and wait in the Court where they can seek for the bail of the accused ladies by their alleged actions.
