Boko Haram, AGAIN! Shooting In Chibok 5 Killed

Suspected Boko Haram insurgents reportedly stormed 2 Borno State villages located near Chibok on June 9, killing 5 people.

The affected villages, Tohya and Wurojene, are just 14 kilometres away from Chibok, where on April 14 the sect members abducted more nearly more than 200 school girls.

One of the residents, who pleaded anonymity, confirmed that the attack had been launched on Monday evening and was quoted saying by Vanguard:Ā

“The attackers fired at the people and many residents fled into the bush. There was confusion everywhere as the attackers set fire on houses.Ā They continued the attack for about two hours. They carted away foodstuffs, bags of grains and chicken belonging to our poor people.”Ā

Another local identified as James Pona added that villagers, “slept in the bush throughout the night and the insurgents left after the killing and destruction without any resistance from the military troops around the area.”
