Native Doctor In Court For N21.1 Million Naira Fraud

A local native doctor from Ijebu-Ode, Ogun has been charged by Igbosere Magistrates’ Court, Lagos for attempted murder and stealing N21.1 million from two men.

The 45-year-old native doctor is charged with conspiracy, obtaining money under false pretences and attempted murder and he plead not guilty.

The prosecutor Innocent Odugbo revealed to the court that Mr. Alao broke the law with some now on the run friends in April at Mayfair Estate, Ajah in Lekki.

He said that Mr Alao took N3million from one Raimi Oluwaseyi, after assuring him that he will get spiritual protection.

The later took $116,000 (N19.1million) from Mr. Oluwaseyi and one David Orji also on the same pretext.

“The native doctor gave the complainants a substance to drink for spiritual protection and directed that it should be consumed at a residence in Lagos. “Orji and Oluwaseyi drank the substance which turned out to be an acid,” Mr. Odugbo said.

The men had to be rushed abroad for to seek urgent medical attention for internal injuries they received.
