A Circuit Court in Accra has sentenced a 26 year-old mason to seven years imprisonment for defiling and impregnating a 13 year old girl at Asofan, Accra.

William Kamassah pleaded guilty to the charge of defilement.

The victim later narrated her ordeal to her mother who discovered that she was pregnant.

TheĀ  Police issued a medical form to the victim to attend hospital for examination and treatment, where it was detected that she was five months pregnant.

Chief Inspector Ofei said Kamassah was arrested and during police interrogation he admitted the offence.
