The England based midfielder says there is no other aim for the national team than to reign supreme in world football and ensure that its Ghana’s name scripted on it when the FIFA World Cup trophy is handed out in Rio de Janeiro on July 13.

The midfielder who netted 12 goals in 42 appearances for Middlesbrough in the just concluded English Championship season, joined his international teammates in training on Wednesday morning and was in high spirits when the session came to a close.

Speaking to your authoritative Allsports.com.gh at the Accra Sports Stadium after the stringent workout session supervised by Coach Kwesi Appiah, Adomah was adamant there is no other target for the Black Stars at the Mundial.

‘If we are going to the World Cup, then hopefully we want to win the World Cup. That is the aim for Ghanaians, we want to win the World Cup,’ Adomah affirmed without blinking an eye.

The 26 year old can’t stop dreaming about making his World Cup debut in Brazil and would not be dissuaded by an apparent hot race to see which of 26 players in camp will make the final 23-man team for the mission in South America.

‘Looking at this squad, for every position there is always competition. That for me is what makes this squad stronger,’ Adomah said full of confidence.
