Ashantigold captain Lawrence Lartey has agreed a new one-year contract with the club, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.Â
The current deal of the 20-year-old runs out next month and the club has moved quickly to tie him to a further 12-month deal.
With clubs breathing down his neck, the miners have tied him down so they can cash in if he gets a deal abroad.
Lartey has been impressive for the Obuasi-based side since he joined from second-tier side Nania FC.
He captained Ghana’s Under-20 team to clinch bronze at the 2013 World Youth Championship in Turkey.
He’s had unsuccessful trial at Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb.
