Galaxy School Holds Educational Fair

GALAXY International School has held its 10th educational fair at the forecourt of the school at East Legon, Accra, over the weekend.

The initiative, which was started in 2003, had won the admiration of highly placed educationists, who described it as a link to showcase the prowess of the institution in both academic and social disciplines of the school.

Galaxy International School, a leading Turkish institution in Ghana, had also won more than 30 awards in several disciplines as a result of its passion to excel in academic work and discipline of students.

The fair showcased a variety of products made by students of the school in the various disciplines.

The Head of Pre-tertiary Private Schools in the GES, Esther Happy Edjeani, described the fair as being another great academic initiative of the school since its inception some 13 years ago.

Ms Edjeani further mentioned that ‘the fair is an assurance to parents that any investments made in the course of their children’s education is worth it.’

She commended the authorities of the school and encouraged other learning institutions to hosts such fairs for their students as well.

The Principal of the school, Sevket Cikmaz, said the fair would continue to receive the needed prominence in the calendar of the school.

Mr Cikmaz reiterated that the educational fair was a channel to create a relaxed environment for both teachers and students to interact and share ideas.

The students on the other hand paid glowing tribute to their teachers for the passion with which they go about their duties in the school.

Galaxy International School was established in 2001 and has affiliations in over 160 countries around the world.
