Ghana defender Michael Ofosu Appiah scored a superb goal for Latvian side Skonto in their 6-1 thumping of Daugava Riga on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old opened the scoring for visitors in the 25 minute before Sabala grabbed a super hat-trick before goals from Gutkovskis and Mingazow handed them the heavy win at the Kauguru vidusskolas stadion in J?rmala.
Appiah has become an integral member of the Skonto side since he joined in August last year from South African side Jomo Cosmos.
Skonto are second on the table with 18 points, six adrift of current leaders Ventspils
Skonto is the most successful club in Latvia haven won 15 top flight titles since their formation 22 years ago.
