The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Media Excel, Ernest Kwasi Ennin, has congratulated celebrated Ghanaian gospel artiste, Joyce Blessing, for winning the 2014 Gospel Album of The Year award at the VGMA industry awards held at the Alisa Hotel, last Saturday.
The event which was organised by Charter House, organisers of the VGMA to reward Ghanaian music industry players for their commitment, hard work and dedication in their music career, attracted a large number of personalities and stakeholders in the music industry.
At the ceremony, 11 showbiz personalities who have contributed immensely to the progress of Ghanaian music were honoured.
The show witnessed brilliant performances from Densei, Akwaboah Jnr, OJ, among others.
Kwasi Ennin expressed his delight at the success chalked by Joyce Blessing in recent times, adding, ‘Joyce Blessing really deserved the award because she has worked hard to register her presence on the Ghanaian gospel music scene.’
Speaking to BEATWAVES in an interview after the awards ceremony, Kwasi Ennin noted that the sensational gospel artiste has carved a niche for herself in the gospel music scene by dint of hardwork.
According to him, Joyce Blessing’s songs make it explicitly clear that human wisdom or effort to solve problems was synonymous with chasing after the wind and that in all things, one should not be anxious but rather depend absolutely on the Lord for results.
