He said the world has become more complex, but within that nexus of complexity exist many opportunities not ever tapped for the whole history of humankind.
In a keynote address at the 10 th Congregation of the Islamic University College Ghana (IUCG) at the weekend, Prof Nabilla, who is also the Wulugu Naba, urged the graduands not to give up in their search for employment till they succeed.
‘I am challenging all of you graduands not to go and add up to the increasing number of unemployed graduates; if you want to join any association at all, it should not be the Association of Unemployed Graduates. ‘Think yourself better than that’ he said.
According to him, the human head whether big or small, white or black, is never bereft of ideas, insisting that no idea is insignificant unless it is not harnessed.
Prof. Nasrollah Sekhavati Ladan, President of IUCG, pointed out to the students that their graduation is not the end to their pursuit of knowledge, adding that the real learning starts outside the campus of the university.
He said the community would require the services of the graduands to better their current condition.
Nana Dr. Kwabena G. Ernynn, Vice President of Academic Affairs, while congratulating the graduands, reminded them to make use of all the admirable academic moral and social values the university had instilled in them.
He said the values include tolerance, humility, temperance, strict adherence to the laws and accepted norms of the society, respect for time, critical thinking and hard work.
In all, about 200 students graduated from the university. Out of the number, 185 were awarded degrees whilst 19 and 24 students received certificates with First and Second Class Honours respectively.
