The Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) has assured the sporting public that the much publicised bout between Braimah “Bukom Banku” Kamoko and Michael “Ayittey Powers” Okine will definitely materialise.
A statement from the Public Relations outfit of the GBA said, it has held useful discussions with officials of the camps of the two boxers and their promoter and they have agreed to the new date for the fight.
The statement said, the GBA will do everything possible to ensure the fight is staged on May 16, adding that, it will not tolerate any further postponement of the fight.
The GBA on Tuesday held a meeting with all parties involved to discuss the bout between the two boxers.
The meeting endorsed Friday, May 16 as the new date for the bout after Powers refused to fight on April 18.
