A group of chiefs from the Ahafo Ano South District are denying claims by Deputy NDC General Secretary, Kofi Adams that Johnson Asiedu Nketia’s call for the president to re-instate the sacked Tweea DCE was a unilateral one.

Kofi Adams said Mr. Asiedu Nketia did not consult any of the national executives before issuing a statement pleading with the president to re-instate Mr. Gabriel Barimah.

He said although the last NEC meeting was held in the presence of President John Mahama the issue of the sacked DCE was not mentioned during the meeting.

But speaking to Citi News, a spokesperson for the chiefs, Nana Agyemang Acheampong said the meeting was held at the NDC party headquarters in the presence of some national executives.

“About two or three national executives of the party were present when we met the president,” he explained.
