The media is considered as the fourth estate of the realm. They are often described as powerful and influential, especially because of its role of educating, entertaining and informing.
Speaking to media men at a press conference, Wednesday, 19th March, 2014, Pastor Francis Fosu, National Coordinator of the Deeper Life Campus Fellowship, said in as much as the media is very helpful in our society, they sometimes use their ‘power’ to do bad things.
According to him, “Nobody can deny this; they are helping us; they are doing a good job but you and I are witnesses to this fact”.
Informing the media about the expected visit of the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry Worldwide, Pastor W. F. Kumuyi to Ghana, he added: “I normally describe the media as helpers and killers (Okumfo Dumfo). They are helping us and yet they are killing us. They tell us not to tell lies, they tell lies; they tell us to avoid pornography and they promote pornography. Look at the newspapers, on our streets, pornography everywhere…they tell us not to fight and they fight”.
He added that there is the need for the media to be objective and help in nation building as well as spreading the good news of Christ.
The Deeper Christian Life Ministry will on April 4 and 5, 2014, hold a special miracle and revival service dubbed “Divine Keys for Unlocking doors” at the Deeper Life Bible Church, Anyaa near Ablekuma, Accra. The Service begins at 6pm on April 4 and 8am the next day.
The Founder and General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry worldwide, Pastor W. F. Kumuyi will be the main speaker for the two-day event.
