Seek guidance from God – Pastors urged

The Akyem Oda Diocesan Bishop, Rt Rev. Col Paul Brewu (retd), has stressed the need for pastors and reverend ministers to seek guidance and directions from God through constant prayers before undertaking any venture.

He said that had become imperative, since it would enhance their chances of achieving their objectives as men of God.

Rt Rev. Brewu was preaching at an induction service at Ayirebi in the Eastern Region for Very Rev. Joseph Galley as the new Akyem Ayirebi Circuit Superintendent of the Methodist Church of Ghana.

He said the call of God did not depend on the chain of degrees a pastor possessed but on the performance of the individual.

Rt Rev. Brewu advised the new circuit superintendent to live up to expectation by striving hard to win more souls for Christ.

He also urged leaders of the church and members to give Very Rev. Galley their maximum support to enable him to perform his ministerial work creditably.

The Very Rev. Galley thanked the Methodist Church for the honour done him and promised to live up to expectation.

He said since the Ayirebi Circuit was small, he would work tirelessly to expand it to become one of the best in the country.
