Esther Cobbah Receives Another Award From Wesley Girls


Cape Coast- February 8, 2014 – The Chief Executive Officer of Stratcomm Africa, Ms. Esther Amba Numaba Cobbah was on Saturday, February 2014, given an award by her Alma Mater Wesley Girls’ High School for her achievements. The award was given at the school’s 177th Speech and Prize ceremony. Ms. Cobbah, a product of Wesley Girls’ High School was awarded with three others, all old girls of the school and all winners of CIMG Marketing Woman of the year at various times.

Mrs. Betty Djokoto, Headmistress of the School said, ‘You have made the school proud, by your achievements… Having come this far by the Grace of God, it is inspiring and motivating for the present generation to know and understand what it takes for one to attain such heights’.

The Speech and Prize giving day with the theme, A Value-Based Education for Sustainable National Development, had the Minister of Education, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang as the Guest of Honor and Mrs. Peace Ayisi Okyere, Former Executive Director of the African Development Bank as the Guest Speaker, both old girls of the school. The program was chaired by Ms. Gladys Botchway, a lawyer and an old girl of the school.

Last year, Ms. Esther Cobbah was adjudged the CIMG Marketing Woman of the year 2012 by the Ghana Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIMG) and the Outstanding Corporate Woman of the year At the Ghana Women’s Awards. She had previously received other awards including ‘Achiever In Entrepreneurship & the Corporate World from Global Women Entrepreneurs and Best Entrepreneur – Media Communication Award – 2010 from Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana.

Ms. Cobbah was Senior Prefect at Wesley Girls High School. She says, “God is the Lifter of my head and I give him all the Glory.
