African comedy icon, musician and designer, Klint De Drunk has signed on to co-host the 2014 Ghana DJ Awards.
The comedian will make his debut as the ceremony’s host when he fronts the show with an unannounced co-host at the Ghana National Theatre in Accra on February 22.
Announcing the news, Merqury Quaye says, “We’re excited to have our neighboring Nigeria join in this year’s Ghana DJ Awards 2014 this fabulous way. DJ Humility got a nomination, DJ Jimmy Jattt is coming to grace the occasion, and Klint is here to step up the excitement! We’re really going to have fun this year. Ghana DJ Awards 2014 would be an exciting night; highly entertaining.”
Joy FM’s DJ Black leads all nominees with 7 nominations, including Best Mixtape (for “Headnod Mix”), Best Event DJ, Best Event DJ and Best DJ of the Year, a category in which he’ll compete with DJ Champagne, DJ Mensa and DJ Slim.
Other nominees also include Sammy Forson, DJ Andy Dosty, DJ Rampage, DJ Mic Smith, DJ Nana and Tim Westwood.
The Ghana DJ Awards 2014 comes off on Saturday February 22 with performances by DJ Jimmy Jatt, DJ Mic Smith, DJ Mensah, DJ Slim, DJ Bryte, VIP, Mz Vee, Stonebwoy, Keche, Edem, Diamond amongst other great artistes.
