Minister for Youth and Sports, Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah has said that government will try to send a few supporters to Brazil 2014 to support the Black Stars at the World Cup since supporters play a very important role in football.

He assured fans that government will do its possible best to ensure that a few fans get to Brazil to cheer the Blacks Stars to victory.

“Government will try to send few supporters to Brazil,” he stressed.

There has been controversy over whether government should sponsor supporters to Brazil or not.

Arguments range from costs in transporting soccer fans to the need to have supporters at Ghana’s games.
