Fast rising actor cum writer, Uzor Ngoladi has made his debut on the set of MNET’s most popular TV soap opera, Tinsel. The writer who has authored several biographies disclosed that acting has also been his natural passion having trained with the school theatre during his university days.
“I came to Lagos in 2004 after my youth service to pursue an acting career but because of the stiff competition; I had to refocus on my other talent which is writing. I secured employment with Hints magazine as a Nollywood reporter and had close encounter with many star actors and actresses in the film industry.
After rising to the post of editor and publisher in the entertainment news sector, I decided to return to my first love and started attending auditions here in Lagos.” Uzor disclosed in an interview with reporters.
The Ihiala, Anambra State born thespian reveals that after acting minor roles in few movies, he landed a lead role and was subsequently invited by MNET to participate in Tinsel after a rigorous audition that was attended by over 5000 actors at the Protea Hotel Maryland.
His Tinsel character, Mr Wakama is a rich and successful award winning entrepreneur who commands attention and creates friction between fellow characters Bimpe and Lola.
Uzor Ngoladi has featured in other films such as Blood on the Lagoon, Accident, Dream Walker, Spiders, Heaven’s Hell, Secrets & Scandals, Gidi up 2, Mother in-law etc. He is set to fully embrace Nollywood as a lead actor.
