Manly-Spain Calls For Unity In NDC Towards 2016

Mr Henry Ekow Manly-Spain, an aspiring Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has urged party members to stay united to ensure victory, come 2016.

He entreated party members not to engage in “dirty campaigns” against one another, saying, “That is not the best way to go as its ramifications could not be reparable when it happens.”

Mr Manly-Spain was speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview on Monday in Accra.

He said, the current happenings within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of their national elections should be a guide to all, especially those who would vie for various positions in the NDC.

Mr Manly-Spain said, no political party could defeat the NDC if the unity in the party continued to exist among members, adding that, “no party can win election with divisions among themselves.”

“We need to work closely as one people from the same political party so we can retain power, come 2016 to continue to execute the ‘Better Ghana Agenda’ as we promised,” he said.

The aspirant entreated party members not to sit on the fence, but must work harder to help the government to succeed.

“Please let’s bury our differences so that with a united front, we can develop the NDC and push the government to deliver on its mandate to the people of Ghana,” he appealed.
