Sports Administrator Awarded Masters Degree

Kwame Amponfi Jnr

The Greater Accra Regional Sports Director of the National Sports Authority, Kwame Amponfi Jnr, was last weekend awarded a Master of Arts Degree in Public Affairs by the Graduate School of the University of Ghana, having successfully passed the prescribed course of study.

Amponfi was among those who were awarded various degrees during the University’s Graduation Ceremony held on Saturday 3rd November, 2012 on the campus of the University of Ghana, Legon.

The Regional Sports Director, who holds a Diploma in Olympic Studies from the International Olympic Academy in Greece, also has double major Degree in Special Education; Intellectual Disabilities and Health, Physical Education and Sports from the University of Education, Winneba, Ghana.

It would be recalled that until his recent post, Mr Amponfi Jnr had successfully managed, administered and revived as many as seven National Sports Associations under the National Sports Authority to win a lot of medals for Ghana.

The Associations which he diligently managed are the Association of Sports for the Disabled (ASFOD), National Paralympics Committee (NPC), Special Olympic Committee (SOC), National Sports for All Association, Ghana (NASFAAG), Ghana Cycling Association (GCA), Ghana Table Tennis Association (GTTA), and Ghana Amateur Boxing Federation (GABF).
