Berekum Chelsea’s youth team against Atletico Paranaense
Berekum Chelsea’s youth team failed to defend the Ostrach Yokohama Cup by finishing third in the 2012 edition.
The Young Blues beat German side FC Kaiserslautern 3-0 on penalties after 2-2 in extra-time.
Alfred Gaza and Jibrine Kaga put Chelsea 2-0 up before Kaiserslautern drew level in the second half.
Chelsea were beaten 5-4 on penalties in the semi-final by eventual winners Atletico Paranaense of Brazil after failing to score in regulation time.
Centre-back Solomon Sarbah was adjudged the best defender of the tournament
Striker Benjamin Asamoah won the bronze shoe with two goals.
