I’m the best of 3 serious flag-bearers – Dr Nduom

The flag-bearer of the Progressive Peoples’ Party (PPP), Dr Paa kwesi Nduom has intimated that of all the persons who have expressed interest in becoming Ghana’s next president in the December elections, only three of them are serious about it.

“There’s the one called John Mahama, there is the one called Nana Akufo-Addo, and then there is Papa Kwesi Nduom,” he stated in the Ashanti Region where he is promising to help artisans use the needed technology in their work.

Being the president of the Republic of Ghana, he remarked, is the most important job in the country.

“Now, there are three people, three people who are seriously competing for this job. Of course, there are other candidates, but in my opinion, there are three who are serious competitors.”

Dr Nduom touted his leadership credentials, citing the millennium challenge account, which he said he led the team to secure the funds; he also credited himself with the single spine pay policy. “I gave it the name single spine,” he claimed.

He also mentioned the national identification system, saying “I did battle with SSNIT, with the Electoral Commission, so that we could create this system.”

Daring people do conduct their own research about his contribution to the development of the nation, the PPP flag-bearer emphasised: “Go around the country and ask the people of these three, who is the best candidate? And I bet you they will say Papa Kwesi Nduom.”

Meanwhile, flag-bearers of the other opposition political parties have stepped up their door to door campaigns in different parts of the country to convince the electorate to vote for them.

In the Eastern Region, NPP flag-bearer Nana Akufo-Addo has been highlighting his promise of free secondary education and transformation of the economy.

The NPP was expected to hold an education forum in the region on Wednesday.

Dr. Abu Sakara of the Convention Peoples’ Party (CPP) is also touring parts of the Northern Region where he has been spreading his “get Ghana to work again” message.

The flag-bearer of the Peoples’ National Convention, Hassan Ayariga has also been touring Teshie and Nungua in the Ledzorkuku Krowor constituency in Accra.
