A furious Kerry Katona has hit out at her ex-husband Brian McFadden after he dismissed their marriage.

The former Westlife star made the cutting comment in an interview accompanying his wedding photos to Irish DJ and model Vogue Williams, after they tied the knot in Italy last week.

The Australia’s Got Talent judge, 32, claimed he had ‘no idea what I was doing’ when he married Kerry – mother of his two children – in January 2002.

Posing for a photo with his 26-year-old bride in Tuscany, Italy, Brian told Hello! magazine: ‘This is me getting married for the rest
of my life – and a completely different life.

‘I was 18 or 19 when I got
married the first time. I was in Westlife. I had no idea what I was
doing. It wasn’t till I was 30 that I turned into an adult.’

After reading his interview, former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry, also 32, wrote a lengthy Twitter statement hitting out at her ex.

She wrote: ‘I will never let anyone take away my
first marriage not even my ex husband! We may have been young but I knew
full well what I was doing!!! And never in a million years would I ever
dismiss it, especially bringing two amazing children into it… Love
mummy xxx.

‘Just want my children to know there were made with love and no regrets #eyeswideopen.’

The Celebrity Big Brother star, who is divorced from second husband, cabbie Mark Croft, added: ‘Just want to say a big thank you to all
the people who have walked in and OUT of my life You’ve all made me the
person I am today…. Stronger, wiser and one hell of a great mum!!
Thanks xxxx.’

After meeting
on a roadshow tour in 1999, Kerry quit Atomic Kitten when she found out
when was pregnant with their oldest daughter Molly, now 11, who was
born in August 2001.

The reality TV star went on to have their youngest daughter Lilly Sue, now nine, before they separated in September 2004.

It was later revealed that Brian had cheated on Kerry with a lapdancer on his stag night.

Brian and Vogue wed in medieval castle Castello di Vincigliata in Tuscany on September 2 following a whirlwind 16 month romance.

They decided to marry in Italy instead of their native Ireland or Australia – where Brian lives for most of the year – because they considered it as a ‘halfway’ location for friends and family in both countries.

They wanted a smaller, intimate wedding because, as Brian said: ‘You can’t get married in Ireland and only have 80 people.’

Among the guests were Brian’s fellow Australia’s Got Talent judge Dannii Minogue, who told Hello!: ‘They make a beautiful couple and I wasn’t surprised at all when they got engaged.’

The groom praised his young bride for ‘taming’ him, something his ex-fiancée Delta Goodrem and Kerry apparently failed to do.

He said: ‘Vogue has made me so happy. She puts a smile on my face every day. She has made me a better person.’
