When it’s time to pose on the red carpet, there is never a stylist far from hand ready to primp and preen, coming to the rescue at the slightest of fashion faux pas.
But flying solo today, Penelope Cruz had a near wardrobe malfunction as her pretty floral dress swooped down to reveal her black satin bra.
The mother-of-one, currently in Madrid with husband Javier Bardem, was seen visiting sister-in-law Monica – also an actress who manages the Bardem family restaurants in the Spanish city.

Dressed in the simple yet stylish
summer frock, Penelope accessorised with slick shades, red nail polish
and straw platform wedges with a navy fabric criss-cross design over her
toes.
The Oscar-winner is currently on a break from shooting her latest project Venuto Al Mondo (meaning Twice Born).
The film, also starring Emile Hirsch,
tells the tale of a single mother who brings her teenage son to
Sarajevo, where his father died in the Bosnian conflict years ago.Â

Busy Penelope is also set to team up
with director Pedro Almodovar again, this time for black comedy The
Brief Lovers, as well as starring with Javier in Ridley Scott’s The
Counsellor.
Meanwhile, her husband of two years,
and the father of son Leonardo, will be seen next as the Bond villain in
the eagerly awaited new 007 adventure Skyfall, which will be released
later this year.
