It was an endorsement that no boyband had done before but it’s proved to certainly be a useful one.
Aston Merrygold is said to own several boxes of the JLS Durex condoms that he and the rest of the band promoted back in 2010.
Glamour model Renay Louise claims that the 24-year-old singer tried to impress her with the personalised contraceptive when he charmed her into bed.

According to The Sun, Renay was shocked to see the condoms on display near his bed.
‘There was a shelf with a few ornaments and, right in the middle, was this box of condoms with Aston’s face,’ a friend of hers told the newspaper.
The dark-haired model was apparently rather shocked to see so many packets as in a wardrobe nearby was an even bigger box full of them.
However, she was pleased to know that the
former X Factor star was practising safe sex following months of him
chatting her up via text.
It’s now been two years since fans have been able to get their hands on the condoms that feature Aston’s face as well as the faces of Marvin Humes, Oritsé Williams and J.B. Gill.
