Two registration officers at Agona Swedru have been remanded in prison custody over theft of biometric machine at Agona Swedru.
Unidentified persons broke into one of the Catholic Basic School, a registration centre and stole the laptop.
Central regional correspondent, Richard Kojo Nyarko reported that one of the registration officer is the headmaster of the Catholic Basic School.
The Municipal election officer in the area told Nyarko the incident disrupted the registration process in the area.
Prospective voters have been asked to go to other areas to register until the situation is normalized.
The police have mounted a full scale investigation into the matter.
