Multiple reports getting to Nigeriafilms.com confirms that Ghollywood, as Ghanaian film industry is called, has lost one of its.
Godwin Kotey is one of the Ghanaian actors that was reported stranded in Nigeria in 2010, after he and others attended AMAA awards in Bayelsa State.
Lydia Forson, a close friend of the late actor tweeted, “I’m very emotional right now, sorry, I just can’t believe this, all so sudden. RIP Godwin Kotey.”
When Nigeriafilms.com contacted a top journalist in Ghana to confirm the story, we were told that the story is true. The cause of his death is still unclear as at press time.
On a day Ghana is celebrating its Independence Day, this must be a bad news and a great loss to Ghanaian film industry.

What caused his death is not yet known? then where was the man b4 his death i mean, where died he? is it inside d room or on d street? is it in hospital or inside d bush? where was d man b4 he died that what caused his death is not yet found? Well it does not matter what caused his death or where died he! it does not matters in what age he ended his life!! what matters is now that he have died where will he spend enternity HELL or HEAVEN?
