Two Cape Town International Airport staff were arrested on Tuesday after being found with a passenger’s computer, Western Cape police said.

Captain Frederick van Wyk said the passenger touched down from Joburg on Tuesday and forgot his iPad2 on his seat.

By the time he went back to the plane, it was missing.

“After informing police of the incident, the complainant tracked his iPad on his laptop, which led to the arrest of the two suspects while leaving the airport,” Van Wyk said.

The man, 34, worked as a driver for an aircraft catering company while the woman, 24, worked as an aircraft cleaner. They would appear in the Bellville Magistrate’s Court later on Tuesday. – Sapa
