The Ashanti and Greater Accra regions have had their turn in the semi final sessions in this unique dance competition.

In previous episodes on TV, viewers witnessed the interesting intricate dance moves of the individual clubs and have now started voting massively for their favourite groups.

The Close-Up Salsa Fiesta is the biggest gathering of salsa lovers and one of the most exciting events happening in the Ghanaian entertainment industry in recent times.

The participating clubs in Accra went through a competitive session of semi-finals as they battled it out with each other.

The quest for this battle is to select one best group to represent Accra in the grand finale in February 2012.

All the seven salsa clubs who participated in the Accra semi-finals will have their performances split into 2 episodes; the first episode would feature Jubilee Pool House, Aviation Social Centre and Pentagon, While the second episode would feature Fridays, T-Havana, Temple and Boomerang Night Club. On television this Sunday, the Kumasi episode would be telecasted, followed by the 2 Accra episodes on January 22 and 28, 2012.

In preparation towards the grand finale, each club is tasked to present either a group or a couple’s performance in friendly competitions that will give them the opportunity to win thousands of shopping vouchers from the Accra Shopping Mall and GBS Decoders with free subscription.

The next thing to happen in salsa before the grand finale is the ‘maximum hype’ episode that would be shot at Unilever office premises in Accra.

The much expected grand finale is set for February 11, 2012 at the round pavilion of the International Trade Fair Centre in Accra.

At the end of the grand finale, the successful salsa group can win for themselves the following prize packages; first prize – GH¢3,000, second prize – GH¢ 2,000 and third prize – GH¢1,500, with thousands of souvenirs from the sponsors.
