Twelve people were injured, four seriously, in a collision between a private security vehicle and a car on the N12 near Xavier Street on Thursday morning, paramedics said.
It appeared that the security bakkie – with guards travelling in the back – veered into another car, Netcare 911 spokesman Jeffrey Wicks said in a statement.
“Paramedics arrived at the scene to find that the injured guards had clambered from the bakkie and were lying near it,” he said.
The injured were treated on scene and taken to hospital. – Sapa

Dozen injured in car crash
