Nigeria: Lagos Hosts Angola Friendly

The international friendly between 2012 Nations Cup finalists Angola and hosts Nigeria will be played on January 11 in Lagos.According to Angolan daily newspaper Jornal de Angola on Monday, the match will be played in Lagos.

General Secretary of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Musa Amadu, has also confirmed the match-up but said a venue for the game will be announced soon.

Angola coach Lito Vidigal is also said to be seeking friendly matches against South Africa and Mozambique before heading for the tournament to be co-hosted by Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.

Vidigal will on January 4 name his final 23-man Africa Cup team in Luanda before the Palancas Negras shift camp from the Angolan capital to the enclave of Cabinda a day later for his team’s final stage of preparations.

Angola will depart for Equatorial Guinea on January 18 where they will be based in Malabo.
