She looked pleased to see her father, who is most famous for his Oscar-winning role in 1969 movie Midnight Cowboy.

happy to see his daughter by his former wife, the late model and
actress Marcheline Bertrand.

after he gave an interview on U.S. television back in 2002, in which he
claimed his daughter, who had just adopted her Cambodian-born son
Maddox, had ‘serious mental problems’.

Angelina responded by cutting off her

her relationship with Maddox.

‘My father and I don’t speak. I don’t
believe that somebody’s family becomes their blood. Because my son’s
adopted, and families are earned.’
Voight repeatedly tried to regain contact with his daughter, particularly after her mother’s death in 2007.
And finally, with Brad’s blessing, she is said to have responded in late 2009.

In a recent interview with USA Today, Angelina talked about her movie, which is set in 1990s war-torn Bosnia.
‘I’ve always been drawn to war films,’ she said. ‘I did love directing. If I’m allowed, if I’m accepted, I will do it again. I am still very shy about it.’

She said her experiences as a UN goodwill ambassador providing support and aid for refugees helped give her the idea for the film, which she also wrote.
‘I was going through a period where I was thinking a lot about my 10 years travelling into these situations and all the people I met who had gone through conflict and how their lives were affected,’ she explained.
‘I chose Bosnia because I had been through the area and was very drawn to the region. I just felt I should know more and there should be a discussion.’
