SCAF asserted on Thursday 01/12/2011 its backing to the government of Prime Minister Designate Dr. Kamal el-Ganzouri.
The government’s top priority is to restore security to the country, the SCAF said in a message posted on Facebook.
The SCAF vowed to bring to account promptly those responsible for bloody clashes in Maspero and Tahrir Square.
The council asserted its decision not to try civilians before military courts.
The council called on the revolution youths and Egyptian people to participate and cooperate in order to achieve stability and end the transitional period in a way that reflects the spirit of January 25 Revolution, which impressed the entire world.
