WORLD junior 3000m steeplechase bronze medallist Jacob Araptany will not travel for London’s famous Aviva Grand Prix meet after being denied a visa by the British High Commission.
Araptany, who won the medal in Moncton, Canada, last year, was expected to use the Aviva Grand Prix as a warm for the World Athletics Championships due in Daegu, Korea later this month.
“Unfortunately he cannot get any international competition now. He will be travelling directly for the world championships,” said Global sports communication officer Jurrie Van Der Velden.
Last week, players from the Little League Baseball, who were due to travel to America for the little league world series were denied visas by the US embassy.
