Luanda — Angola’s National Union of Artists and Composers (UNAC) organises this Friday, at the Natural History Museum, in Luanda, an extraordinary general assembly to discuss and approve documentation to support the introduction of the Artists Professional Badge in the country.
According to the institution’s secretary general, Belmiro Carlos, during the event it will also be constituted the Commission for Professional Badge, sector that monitors activity of artists and system of attribution of badges and is also to elect members.
The source informed also that with the introduction of Professional Badge, UNAC intends to organise the Angolan artistic class, structuring it in professional artists, semi-professionals and amateurs, aimed at facilitating the artist’s interaction with the state, cultural and financial institutions, as well as society in general, to give the class the necessary respect and dignity.
