After being informed that the Basse power station has received another generator, barely a week after the old generator was seen loaded on a big trailer which headed towards the direction of Banjul, this reporter visited the station to confirm for himself the veracity of the news.
Whilst at the said station, the reporter found a team of technicians from Nawec busy working on a generator believed to be the newly brought one. Attempting to make enquiries, the workers declined to comment and then referred the reporter to the NAWEC PRO at the Head office in Kanifing.
