Mons hope of any deal with Mustapha Toubabo Jarju is thinning out as Jarju play mute over the clubs’ proposal.

The promoted club may receive shocking news should the Gambian opt to move elsewhere as the clubs top goal scorer slips from the club’s hands little by little. Mons is desperately trying to keep in touch with their attacker but it looks obvious the club’s hope of renewing terms with the player is waning.

The forward has caught the eye of several clubs in Europe and this may force the club director to sign a new striker.

Jarju and two others players were to meet with the team management for renewal of commitment. The two showed up, while Jarju was nowhere to be seen.

Jarju is adopting a wait and see approach. Jarju signed from SK Lierse in 2008 in his hunger for first division football. He stayed with Mons at the top flight for only a single season before slumping to the second tier. The former Steve Biko mask man was key to the club’s promotion to the Jupiter following a two year absence, bagging in an eighteen goal-thriller.
