Any attempts by the former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), to confront the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2012 governorship election of Kogi State will be thwarted, state chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Hassan Salawu, has said.

Salawu was reacting to the reported decision of the two-time former governor of the state and gubernatorial candidate of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), Prince Abubakar Audu, to the ACN.

The PDP chieftain said his party was too acceptable to the people of the state for the opposition to defeat it at the governorship poll.

“If those in the ACN contemplate dismantling the PDP in the 2012 governorship election, we are quick to remind their national leader, Chief Bola Tinubu that Kogi is no-go-area as far as the 2012 gubernatorial election is concerned”, he said.
