Ulinzi Stars striker Mike Baraza has denied moving to AFC Leopards. Speaking yesterday, Baraza said he wants to finish the remaining first leg matches with the league champions. “I am still an Ulinzi Stars’ player, at least until after the league’s first leg,” Baraza said. The former Tanzania’s Simba Sports forward said he had days left on his Ulinzi contract and he is yet to set foot in another club. “We have talked with AFC Leopards and agreed on personal terms. They are now engaging Ulinzi about my release. But as of now, I am still an Ulinzi player.
I am in Nakuru training with the team ahead of our game on with Karuturi Sports today,” he said, adding: “It is not necessary that I move to Leopards. I am keen on a possible move to Europe but those plans may be a long way off. Baraza is reportedly to be headed to Albania, where Sofapaka captain James Situma may also be going. “When I joined Ulinzi, there was a gentleman’s agreement that in six months, if any opportunity for greener pastures came my way, they would release me unconditionally. They also promised personal terms that are yet to be fulfilled.”
