Angola: Police Official Calls on VIP Protection Unit for Professionalism

    Luanda — The inspector-general of National Police chief-commissioner Salvador Rodrigues, Tuesday in Luanda urged the members of the Command for the Protection of Protocol Personalities (CPIP) to comply with zeal, dedication and professionalism in their daily tasks.

    The high-ranking official made this statement while speaking at the opening ceremony of the two-day 12th Consultative Council of the CPIP, taking place under the motto “with discipline, punctuality and loyalty, let’s raise the levels of personal safety and security of protocol personalities.”

    According to the chief commissioner, the results of operating activities achieved by the staff are very encouraging, it shows more than ever the courage, sacrifice and commitment that they have shown in the protection of the protocol individuals in the country.

    “The ongoing pursuit of these goals depends largely on the design and implementation of plans and programmes of training and continuous learning in order to provide the up-to-date techniques to perform this complex task,” said the chief commissioner Salvador Rodrigues.

    The CPIP was founded in 1993 and aims at the protection and security of the top Angolan and foreign authorities.
