Luanda — Actions of inspection, control and repression to tax evasion have been enabling the increase of incomes of the Angolan state, as well as reduction of tax evasion and of opportunities for committing economic crimes, ANGOP has learnt.
This was said on Sunday by the commander of the National Police, Commissioner-General Ambrósio de Lemos, when speaking in Luanda, during a ceremony of the commemorations of the 15th anniversary of the Tax Police, marked on Sunday.
He said that the goals that stimulated the integration of the mentioned speciality in the national police have been achieved, adding that throughout 2010 it was possible to seize over 22 million dollars, as well as a great amount of cocaine and other heavy drugs.
The commissioner also said that the results achieved by the members of this speciality are encouraging, taking into account the existence of this branch that marked a new stage in the Customs inspection system.
“We are aware of some difficulties that demand a rapid solution and I mean the need for increasing the number of effectives, equipping with means, reinforcing means across the maritime coast and construction of infrastructures”, he emphasised.
