Luanda — The World Health Organisation Regional Director for Africa, Luis Gomes Sambo, said that there are many works to be done regarding the equal distribution of blood, despite the impressive progresses in some African countries.
The director said so Angop on Monday, in the ambit of the celebrations of the seventh edition of the World Blood Donor Day, to be marked on 14 June, under the theme “More Blood More Life”.
WHO official said that there are a lot of blood transfusion centres in cities, but it is recorded a great scarcity of blood donors in the rural areas, where most of the population live.
