Interior halted leaders Brikama United winning streak, piercing a hard fought 3-2 defeat on the West Coast Region outfit at Brikama’s own ‘slaughter house’.

A game which saw the host, Brikama beaten before its home fans witnessed a floodgate of goals, with five scored all-in-all. Interior picked up points for the first time since the resumption of the league to action, winning on a 3-2 results.

Samger put defending Champions Gambia Ports Authority to the sword on Saturday at the SK East on 2-1; while Bakau United grinded out a 1-1 stalemate with Young Africans at the Independence Stadium on Saturday.

Yesterday, Gamtel/Gamcel could only settle for a goalless tie with Armed Forces in a pulsating encounter at the Serrekunda West Park. Gamtel’s Modou Ndow came close to bagging the opener but was denied by the woodwork- the first-half only near goal effort.

It ended same scoreline at the Independence stadium on Sunday between Africell and Wallidan at the stadium. Steve Biko failed again to snatch points as their season woes stretches into the second part of the league. The Bakau Giants were forced to a 0-0 affair at the SK East.
