Sainey Touray bagged in his first season goal for Islanders City in the club’s 4-2 routing of Pittsburgh Riverhounds on Wednesday at the Skyline Sports Complex.
The 22-year-old Gambian attacker didn’t take long to smash in his first club goal. Touray was obstructed from getting a straight go into the Islanders starting-lineup by paperwork. Having now got his immigration status regularized by U.S authorities, the USL side could expect full delivery from the former Wallidan ace.
The Gambian came off the bench to tie-up the score as Islanders finish off on a style. The ex-Gambian U-17 goal poacher powered in the fourth goal, benefitting from team-mate Brian Ombiji as he poked his shot into the top left corner of the post.
Harrisburg struck first in the fourth minute of the first-half when former Philadelphia Union midfielder J.T. Noone laid off a pass to Angulo, who shot, hitting Pittsburgh Riverhound defender Louie Rolko’s hand. The referee immediately awarded a penalty, giving Rolko a straight red card, and Angulo burried the penalty shot past Riverhound goalkeeper Hunter
Despite being a man down, the Riverhounds kept things at 1-0 until after the halftime break, when in the 48th minute, Hotchkin served the ball to Langley from the left flank and the rookie cut inside from the right side, setting up the left-footed goal.
Hotchkind added a third in the 55th minute off a floated cross by Noone that he headed home before Touray made it four.
