IBADAN – GOVERNOR Abiola Ajimobi has been advised not to meddle in the affairs of the Oyo State Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, which has been enmeshed in leadership crises to avoid committing the same mistake that led to the exit of the Peoples Democratic Party government.

The advice was given by a group under the aegis of the Patriotic Forum, Oyo State chapter at the end of its monthly meeting.

For real transformation to take place, the group also urged the governor not to exclude any qualified person from other political parties that could be of help to redeem the battered image of the state.

“The governor should form a government of unity and should not neglect, in any form, but to carry along other  political parties that contested the elections with him. ”

The group through its Secretary, Elder Jide Ajao also asked Senator Ajimobi to tread softly when it comes to the knotty issue of the state traditional council of obas and chiefs.

According to the group, the failure of the immediate past administration to heed the same advice spelt its doom and so the new government should be wise and avoid the sensitive issues that could smear its image.
